The second statue of the Reborn trio produced by Kotobukiya was devoted to Captain America and released in 2010, with an edition size of 1100 pieces only. Sculpted by Junnosuke Abe, the statue shows the hero in his well known suit, characterized by the bright colors of the US flag, but also exhibits some original features, usually not appearing in Comics. First of all, the scaled, upper part of the costume is colored with a sort of iridescent (very intriguing) blue tone, moreover, the helmet is more similar to the Ultimate version of the character than the classic one, with both the large "A" centered on the forehead and the lateral white winglets just sketched on mask, and a small chin-guard embellishes the face of the character. Furthermore, the typical red boots are here replaced by a sort of high gaiter covering the legs up to the calfs level, equipped with small silvery buttons and hooked by a strip under the sole. The American super soldier exhibits a rather dynamic pose: the right leg is bent and rests on the ruins of two rocky steps, while the left one is fully stretched on one side; the left arm is raised up and hold the legendary shield, here firmly hooked to hand and forearm by two thick leather straps. The belt at waist is enriched with a lot of military pouches and a small canteen. The physique is well sculpted, with the contour of pectorals and abdominals just sketched under the suit, bumped biceps and powerful muscles on legs, pointed out by dark shades everywhere. The colors are brilliant and offer an excellent chromatic contrast, although some imperceptible imperfection appears here and there, especially at the edges of the different patches. The base, simple and effective to provide the right stability of the whole, is embellished with a circular, large and fractured plate made of stone, showing a large "A", the logo of the Avengers' team. In spite of some slight painting defects, the face is very nice, with the blue eyes in good evidence, a well sculpted nose and an open mouth, which gives an aggressive and appropriate expression to the hero. Like the Thor Reborn, also the quotations of this piece are usually high, in spite of the tons of alternative 1:6 scale statue the market offers to all fans: an evident demonstration of its good aesthetics and the general appreciation of collectors for the piece.
